Torta al limone

Torta al Limone or Lemon Cake is a real Italian classic: a soft, fragrant and very delicate cake that is surprisingly light. 

Torta al limone


  • 1 l plain base 
  • 60 g Nonna Rachele paste 
  • 30 g milk 
  • 1 pinch of salt 
  • grated lemon zest to taste 
  • 10 g lemon juice 
  • crumbled shortbread to taste 
  • Marbling Lemon Cookie to taste 

For the gelato 

Mix the plain base with Nonna Rachele Paste, milk, lemon juice, grated lemon zest and salt, then churn the mixture. 

For the garnish 

During the extraction process, ripple with Marbling Lemon Cookie if available, or just the crumbled shortbread.
