Crostata al cioccolato

This chocolate tart is a typical Italian dessert consisting of a shortcrust base covered with jam, cream, chocolate or fresh fruit, with the addition of thin strips of intertwined shortcrust pastry. It seems that a similar shortcrust pastry product was already known in Venice after the year 1000, using sugar imported from the East. 

Crostata al cioccolato

Ingredients 

  • 1 l plain base 
  • 70 g Nonna Rachele paste 
  • 60 g milk 
  • 1 pinch of salt 
  • Nutty Hazelnut and Cocoa to taste 
  • crumbled shortcrust pastry to taste 

Per il gelato

Miscelare la base bianca con Pasta Nonna Rachele, il latte, il sale e poi mantecare.

Per la decorazione

In estrazione variegare il gelato con Nutty Nocciola e Cacao e la frolla sbriciolata.
